Out of Sync HDV Audio in Final Cut Pro

I was working on a big HDV project in FCP yesterday and I was nearly finished with it.  After checking the export from Final Cut Pro I was annoyed that the audio got more and more out of sync as the track went on.  When you edit precisely to the frame, all your hard work is destroyed if it is out of sync.

A quick search on Google shows that a lot of other people are experiencing this problem, but so far I’ve found only one solution which worked for me.

Sterling Noren from Seattle, WA wrote that you can create a new project and drag the sequence into the browser of the new project.  I tried it and that seems to fix it.  I think we can chalk it up to a strange bug in FCP.  I know that FCP is a big, complicated program, but when I pay over $1300 for software, I expect it to work better than this.

Did this solution work for you?  Do you have a better one?  Please leave a comment.
